“Sleep.  Sleep has increasingly become a public-health issue.  Sleep deprivation causes us to gain weight and become less emotionally stable, and makes it harder to read other people’s facial expressions, research shows.  We got even less sleep than usual at times this year due to the stressful campaign for U.S. President.  For people with insomnia- one third of the population- new recommendations this year called for managing it with cognitive behavioral therapy rather than medications.”
