ipadinbedYou may find that reading before bed helps you wind down, but opt for a paperback over an iPad.  A study in Proceedings of the National Academies of Sciences found “iPad readers had a delayed circadian rhythm of more than an hour.”  In addition, “participants who read from the iPad were less sleepy before bedtime, but sleepier and less alert the following morning after eight hours of sleep.”  Do your best to avoid electronics that emit blue light…and yes, your phone counts…right before bed.  Sweet Dreams tonight!
